Lyda McLean Brown is a New York–based artist originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. She studied Studio Art at the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art, graduating in 2021. Her work draws inspiration from everyday life, travel, and the coastal places she has lived- Charleston and West Palm- as well as a formative period living in Spain, where the colors, textures, and rhythms of daily life continue to influence her artistic voice.

Lyda’s artistic practice spans both original paintings and drawings as well as playful, illustrative designs that she brings to life as printed goods including stationery and other paper products. Her original works often explore light, texture, and memory, while her printed collections capture a more whimsical side of her art - making her work both collectible and approachable.
